Winnipeg Skates Past Edmonton 2-1 - Recap

Winnipeg skated to a 2-1 victory over Edmonton on Saturday in NHL action at Rogers Place.

Winnipeg won as a -106 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 6.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Winnipeg got goals from Neal Pionk, and Kyle Connor in the victory. Pionk opened the scoring at 15:44 of the first period.

Klim Kostin scored for the Oilers, finding the net behind Connor Hellebuyck.

Jack Campbell stopped 15 of 17 shots for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Winnipeg went 1-for-3, while the Oilers were 0-for-5 with the man advantage.

Edmonton outshot Winnipeg 32-17 in the game.

Next game, Winnipeg takes its act home to face Calgary looking for another win. For Edmonton, they head home to face Seattle.
