Columbus Falls 5-4 to Panthers - Recap

Florida skated to a 5-4 victory over Columbus on Thursday in NHL action at Nationwide Arena.

The Panthers were a -125 favorite in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Frank Vatrano, Patric Hornqvist, Ryan Lomberg, Aleksander Barkov, and Owen Tippett each scored for the Panthers in the victory. Hornqvist opened the scoring for Florida.

Sergei Bobrovsky turned in a 28-save effort for the Panthers.

Columbus got goals from Oliver Bjorkstrand(2), Max Domi, and Patrik Laine in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Elvis Merzlikins stopped 27 of 32 shots for the Blue Jackets, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Florida went 1-for-3, while the Blue Jackets were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Florida lost the shots on goal battle to Columbus by a margin of 32-32.

Next game, Florida takes its act home to face Chicago looking for another win. For Columbus, they head home to face Dallas.
