Kansas City Defeats Cincinnati 38-17 - Recap

Kansas City cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 38-17 score against Cincinnati in Pre-Season Week 1 action at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs were a -3.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 38.0.

Josh Caldwell rushed for 59 yards, while Darwin Thompson added 22 yards in the win. Blake Bell and Travis Kelce added 37 and 36 receiving yards respectively.

Jordan Ellis rushed for 11 yards for Cincinnati, while Quinton Flowers added 5 yards. Ryan Finley threw for 109 yards for the Bengals, while receivers Jordan Ellis and Auden Tate had 44 and 42 yards respectively.

Cincinnati lost the offensive yardage battle to Kansas City 400-274 yards in Saturday's game. Kansas City had more first downs as that total ended up 23-16.

The time of possession battle favored Kansas City as their offense was on the field for 31:47, longer than the 28:13 of their opponents.

Next game, Kansas City takes its act on the road to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For Cincinnati, they head on the road to face Washington.
