Marshall Falls 28-0 to Jaguars - Recap

La'Damian Webb scampered through the Marshall defense for 117 yards as South Alabama handed the Thundering Herd a 28-0 defeat on Saturday at Hancock Whitney Stadium.

The Jaguars were a -10.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 45.0.

La'Damian Webb rushed for 117 yards, while Braylon McReynolds added 53 yards in the win. Caullin Lacy and Jamaal Pritchett added 126 and 25 receiving yards respectively.

Rasheen Ali rushed for 55 yards for Marshall, while Ethan Payne added 5 yards. Cole Pennington threw for 159 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers Rasheen Ali and DeMarcus Harris had 41 and 34 yards respectively.

South Alabama outgained Marshall 393-201 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-10 by the Jaguars.

The time of possession battle favored South Alabama as their offense was on the field for 36:27, longer than the 23:33 of their opponents.

South Alabama looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Texas State. Marshall will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Arkansas State.
