Recap - Aggies Defeat South Carolina 30-17
Ainias Smith was good for 118 receiving yards on Saturday as the Aggies grabbed a 30-17 win over the Gamecocks at Kyle Field.
Texas A&M did not, however, defeat the Gamecocks against the spread, which closed at -17.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 51.0.
Amari Daniels rushed for 68 yards, while Rueben Owens added 40 yards in the win. Ainias Smith and Evan Stewart added 118 and 55 receiving yards respectively.
Mario Anderson rushed for 72 yards for South Carolina, while Dakereon Joyner added 5 yards. Spencer Rattler threw for 176 yards for the Gamecocks, while receivers Nyck Harbor and Mario Anderson had 59 and 33 yards respectively.
Texas A&M outgained South Carolina 354-209 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-12 by the Aggies.
Texas A&M led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:30-23:30 split in that important category.
Texas A&M looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Ole Miss. South Carolina will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Jacksonville State.
