Liberty Flames vs WKU Hilltoppers Wrap - Liberty Wins 42-29
The Hilltoppers had no answer for Kaidon Salter on Tuesday as the Flames rolled to a 42-29 win at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
Liberty was the ATS victor, as they covered the -4.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 61.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Kaidon Salter rushed for 117 yards, while Quinton Cooley added 76 yards in the win. CJ Daniels and Aaron Bedgood added 67 and 43 receiving yards respectively.
Elijah Young rushed for 61 yards for WKU, while Markese Stepp added 29 yards. Austin Reed threw for 365 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers Dalvin Smith and River Helms had 79 and 76 yards respectively.
WKU was outgained by Liberty 492-484 yards in Tuesday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-24 by the Flames.
WKU lost the time of possession battle 33:07-26:53, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
