Bearcats Fall 32-29 Against Baylor - Game Recap

Blake Shapen sliced and diced the Bearcats defense for 316 yards as Baylor handed Cincinnati a 32-29 defeat on Saturday at Nippert Stadium.

Baylor won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +2.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.5.

Blake Shapen completed 25 of 42 pass attempts for 316 yards for the Bears in the win.

Corey Kiner rushed for 129 yards for Cincinnati, while Myles Montgomery added 103 yards. Emory Jones threw for 162 yards for the Bearcats, while receivers Xzavier Henderson and Chamon Metayer had 82 and 50 yards respectively.

Cincinnati outgained Baylor 450-396 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-21 by the Bears.

The time of possession battle favored Baylor as their offense was on the field for 31:13, longer than the 28:47 of their opponents.

Baylor heads into a 9 battle against Iowa State. Cincinnati, meanwhile, will have their next action against Oklahoma State.
