Flames Down Middle Tennessee 42-35 - Match Report

Kaidon Salter scampered through the Middle Tennessee defense for 160 yards as Liberty handed the Blue Raiders a 42-35 defeat on Tuesday at Williams Stadium.

The Flames earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -16.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 56.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Kaidon Salter rushed for 160 yards, while Quinton Cooley added 134 yards in the win. CJ Daniels and Bentley Hanshaw added 71 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Jaiden Credle rushed for 50 yards for Middle Tennessee, while Terry Wilkins added 25 yards. Nicholas Vattiato threw for 332 yards for the Blue Raiders, while receivers Zack Dobson and Elijah Metcalf had 82 and 74 yards respectively.

Middle Tennessee lost the offensive yardage battle to Liberty 541-428 yards in Tuesday's game. Liberty had more first downs as that total ended up 33-23.

Liberty led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:20-22:40 split in that important category.

Liberty heads into a Week 9 battle against WKU. Middle Tennessee, meanwhile, will have their next action against New Mexico State.
