Michigan State Falls 27-24 to Scarlet Knights - Recap

Kyle Monangai scampered through the Michigan State defense for 148 yards as Rutgers handed the Spartans a 27-24 defeat on Saturday at SHI Stadium.

The Scarlet Knights won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -4.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Kyle Monangai rushed for 148 yards, while Samuel Brown V added 7 yards in the win. Christian Dremel and Ian Strong added 80 and 31 receiving yards respectively.

Nate Carter rushed for 52 yards for Michigan State, while Jalen Berger added 49 yards. Katin Houser threw for 133 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Montorie Foster Jr. and Tre Mosley had 48 and 36 yards respectively.

Rutgers outgained Michigan State 295-245 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-20 by the Spartans.
