Liberty Flames vs FIU Panthers Recap - Flames Win 38-6

Liberty got a 102-yard performance from Quinton Cooley as a key part of its 38-6 victory over the Panthers on Saturday at Riccardo Silva Stadium.

The Flames were a -10.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 54.0.

Quinton Cooley rushed for 102 yards, while Billy Lucas added 102 yards in the win. Treon Sibley and Bentley Hanshaw added 83 and 43 receiving yards respectively.

Kejon Owens rushed for 42 yards for FIU, while Shomari Lawrence added 21 yards. Keyone Jenkins threw for 133 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Kris Mitchell and Eric Rivers had 89 and 19 yards respectively.

FIU lost the offensive yardage battle to Liberty 520-211 yards in Saturday's game. Liberty had more first downs as that total ended up 22-11.

Liberty led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:09-26:51 split in that important category.

Liberty looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Sam Houston State. FIU will aim to get back on the winning track at New Mexico State.
