Wisconsin Defeats Buffalo 38-17 - Recap

The Bulls had no answer for Chez Mellusi on Saturday as the Badgers rolled to a 38-17 win at Camp Randall Stadium.

The Badgers won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -28.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Chez Mellusi rushed for 157 yards, while Braelon Allen added 141 yards in the win. Will Pauling and Tucker Ashcraft added 55 and 36 receiving yards respectively.

Mike Washington Jr. rushed for 52 yards for Buffalo, while Ron Cook Jr. added 51 yards. Cole Snyder threw for 194 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Darrell Harding Jr. and Cole Harrity had 51 and 47 yards respectively.

Buffalo was outgained by Wisconsin 503-316 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-14 by the Badgers.

Buffalo lost the time of possession battle 30:26-27:24, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Wisconsin heads into a Week 2 battle against Washington State. Buffalo, meanwhile, will have their next action against Fordham.
