Washington Defeats Boise State 56-19 - Recap

Washington's aerial attack produced 450 yards and the Huskies produced a 56-19 victory over Boise State on Saturday at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.

The Huskies were a -14.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 59.0.

Michael Penix Jr. completed 29 of 40 pass attempts for 450 yards for the Huskies in the win.

George Holani rushed for 51 yards for Boise State, while Ashton Jeanty added 44 yards. Taylen Green threw for 244 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Ashton Jeanty and Eric McAlister had 109 and 69 yards respectively.

Boise State lost the offensive yardage battle to Washington 568-402 yards in Saturday's game. Washington had more first downs as that total ended up 22-21.

The time of possession battle favored Boise State as their offense was on the field for 30:10, longer than the 29:50 of their opponents.

Washington heads into a Week 2 battle against Tulsa. Boise State, meanwhile, will have their next action against UCF.
