Mountaineers Down Old Dominion 27-14 - Match Report

Ahmani Marshall ran for 137 yards as Appalachian State handled Old Dominion by a score of 27-14 on Saturday at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The Mountaineers earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -16.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 50.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Ahmani Marshall rushed for 137 yards, while Daetrich Harrington added 33 yards in the win. Kaedin Robinson and Christian Wells added 90 and 75 receiving yards respectively.

Blake Watson rushed for 69 yards for Old Dominion, while Keshawn Wicks added 9 yards. Hayden Wolff threw for 308 yards for the Monarchs, while receivers Javon Harvey and Blake Watson had 133 and 73 yards respectively.

Appalachian State outgained Old Dominion 498-394 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-20 by the Mountaineers.

Old Dominion lost the time of possession battle 32:42-27:18, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Appalachian State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Georgia Southern. Old Dominion will aim to get back on the winning track at South Alabama.
