Recap - Trojans Defeat Army 10-9
Troy earned a 10-9 victory over Army on Saturday in Week 11 action at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Trojans earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -8.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 45.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Kimani Vidal rushed for 72 yards, while DK Billingsley added 12 yards in the win. Tez Johnson and RaJae' Johnson added 75 and 28 receiving yards respectively.
Tyhier Tyler rushed for 100 yards for Army, while Tyson Riley added 64 yards. Jemel Jones threw for 30 yards for the Black Knights, while receivers Joshua Lingenfelter and Isaiah Alston had 36 and 24 yards respectively.
Troy lost the offensive yardage battle to Army 357-264 yards in Saturday's game. Army had more first downs as that total ended up 20-15.
Army led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:07-22:53 split in that important category.
Troy looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Louisiana-Monroe. Army will aim to get back on the winning track vs. UCONN.
