Fresno State Defeats Nevada 41-14 - Recap

Jake Haener sliced and diced the Wolf Pack defense for 361 yards as Fresno State handed Nevada a 41-14 defeat on Saturday at Clarence Mackay Stadium.

Fresno State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -22.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 54.0.

Jake Haener completed 29 of 42 pass attempts for 361 yards for the Bulldogs in the win.

Toa Taua rushed for 93 yards for Nevada, while Nate Cox added 56 yards. Nate Cox threw for 243 yards for the Wolf Pack, while receivers Dalevon Campbell and B.J. Casteel had 120 and 63 yards respectively.

Nevada was outgained by Fresno State 524-389 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-16 by the Bulldogs.

The time of possession battle favored Fresno State as their offense was on the field for 34:24, longer than the 25:36 of their opponents.

Next game, Fresno State takes its act home to face Wyoming looking for another win. For Nevada, they head on the road to face UNLV.
