Massachusetts Falls 42-24 to Flames - Recap

The Minutemen were burned by Demario Douglas for 134 receiving yards on Saturday as the Flames picked up a 42-24 win at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

The Flames earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -22.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 45.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Dae Dae Hunter rushed for 78 yards, while Johnathan Bennett added 50 yards in the win. Demario Douglas and Treon Sibley added 134 and 41 receiving yards respectively.

Greg Desrosiers Jr. rushed for 110 yards for Massachusetts, while Gino Campiotti added 14 yards. Gino Campiotti threw for 5 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Jamir Roberts and George Johnson III had 45 and 24 yards respectively.

Liberty outgained Massachusetts 453-233 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-12 by the Flames.

Massachusetts led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 29:50-29:32 split in that important category.

Next game, Liberty takes its act home to face Gardner-Webb looking for another win. For Massachusetts, they head home to face Buffalo.
