UCONN Defeats FIU 33-12 - Recap

The Panthers had no answer for Devontae Houston on Saturday as the Huskies rolled to a 33-12 win at Riccardo Silva Stadium.

UCONN won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -5.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 46.5.

Devontae Houston rushed for 135 yards, while Victor Rosa added 89 yards in the win. Justin Joly and Aaron Turner added 62 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Lexington Joseph rushed for 103 yards for FIU, while Grayson James added 20 yards. Grayson James threw for 256 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Jalen Bracey and Dean Patterson had 75 and 50 yards respectively.

UCONN lost the offensive yardage battle to FIU 409-402 yards in Saturday's game. UCONN had more first downs as that total ended up 20-17.

The time of possession battle favored UCONN as their offense was on the field for 34:15, longer than the 25:45 of their opponents.

UCONN heads into a 7 battle against Ball State. FIU, meanwhile, will have their next action against UTSA.
