Texas State Bobcats vs Nevada Wolf Pack Wrap - Nevada Wins 38-14
The battle between the Wolf Pack and Bobcats didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Texas State was handed a 38-14 defeat on Saturday at Clarence Mackay Stadium.
The Wolf Pack were a +2.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 51.0.
Jake Barlage rushed for 37 yards, while Toa Taua added 36 yards in the win. Jamaal Bell and Jacob Munro added 60 and 24 receiving yards respectively.
Jahmyl Jeter rushed for 16 yards for Texas State, while Calvin Hill added 15 yards. Layne Hatcher threw for 289 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Ashtyn Hawkins and Rontavius Groves had 96 and 55 yards respectively.
Nevada was outgained by Texas State 277-274 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 15-13 by the Bobcats.
Nevada lost the time of possession battle 30:33-29:27, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
