Michigan State Defeats Western Michigan 35-13 - Recap

Jalen Berger tore up the turf for 120 rushing yards on Friday to lead the Spartans to a 35-13 win over the Broncos at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -21.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 54.5.

Jalen Berger rushed for 120 yards, while Jarek Broussard added 54 yards in the win. Keon Coleman and Tre Mosley added 84 and 51 receiving yards respectively.

Sean Tyler rushed for 68 yards for Western Michigan, while Jack Salopek added 36 yards. Jack Salopek threw for 193 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Jehlani Galloway and Corey Crooms had 70 and 41 yards respectively.

Western Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Michigan State 430-334 yards in Friday's game. Michigan State had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.

Michigan State lost the time of possession battle 37:22-22:38, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Michigan State takes its act home to face Akron looking for another win. For Western Michigan, they head on the road to face Ball State.
