Cyclones Fall 31-24 Against Baylor - Game Recap

The Cyclones came up short against the Bears in Week 4 action on Saturday, falling 31-24 at Jack Trice Stadium.

Baylor was an underdog by +2.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 45.0.

Richard Reese rushed for 78 yards, while Craig Williams added 36 yards in the win. Gavin Holmes and Hal Presley added 92 and 50 receiving yards respectively.

Jirehl Brock rushed for 73 yards for Iowa State, while Deon Silas added 6 yards. Hunter Dekkers threw for 284 yards for the Cyclones, while receivers Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson had 120 and 84 yards respectively.

Iowa State was outgained by Baylor 361-350 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-17 by the Bears.

The time of possession battle favored Baylor as their offense was on the field for 34:39, longer than the 25:21 of their opponents.

Next game, Baylor takes its act home to face Oklahoma State looking for another win. For Iowa State, they head on the road to face Kansas.
