West Virginia Defeats Virginia Tech 33-10 - Recap

The Hokies had no answer for CJ Donaldson on Thursday as the Mountaineers rolled to a 33-10 win at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field.

West Virginia was the ATS victor, as they covered the -2.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 49.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

CJ Donaldson rushed for 106 yards, while Justin Johnson Jr. added 83 yards in the win. Kaden Prather and Mike O'Laughlin added 69 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Jalen Holston rushed for 18 yards for Virginia Tech, while Grant Wells added 15 yards. Grant Wells threw for 193 yards for the Hokies, while receivers Kaleb Smith and Keshawn King had 70 and 38 yards respectively.

West Virginia outgained Virginia Tech 421-228 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 32-14 by the Mountaineers.

Virginia Tech lost the time of possession battle 38:44-21:16, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, West Virginia takes its act on the road to face Texas looking for another win. For Virginia Tech, they head on the road to face North Carolina.
