Oregon State Falls 42-16 to Utes - Recap
Oregon State couldn't hang with the Utes on Saturday as Utah blasted the Beavers 42-16 in Week 5 action at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Utes were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -10.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 54.5.
Cameron Rising rushed for 73 yards, while Jaylen Dixon added 22 yards in the win. Devaughn Vele and Micah Bernard added 94 and 37 receiving yards respectively.
Deshaun Fenwick rushed for 44 yards for Oregon State, while Jam Griffin added 42 yards. Tyjon Lindsey threw for 27 yards for the Beavers, while receivers Tre'Shaun Harrison and Anthony Gould had 96 and 79 yards respectively.
Utah lost the offensive yardage battle to Oregon State 417-361 yards in Saturday's game. Oregon State had more first downs as that total ended up 22-20.
Oregon State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:15-28:45 split in that important category.
Utah looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against UCLA. Oregon State will aim to get back on the winning track at Stanford.
