Baylor Falls 26-20 to Cougars - Recap
BYU won 26-20 on Saturday against Baylor behind a 122-yard receiving performance from Chase Roberts at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
BYU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -2.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 55.0.
Christopher Brooks rushed for 31 yards, while Jaren Hall added 28 yards in the win. Chase Roberts and Keanu Hill added 122 and 57 receiving yards respectively.
Craig Williams rushed for 68 yards for Baylor, while Qualan Jones added 67 yards. Blake Shapen threw for 137 yards for the Bears, while receivers Hal Presley and Ben Sims had 31 and 30 yards respectively.
BYU outgained Baylor 366-289 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-22 by the Cougars.
Baylor led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:15-25:45 split in that important category.
BYU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Oregon. Baylor will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Texas State.
