Recap - Wildcats Defeat Florida 26-16

The Wildcats were Week 2 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Gators by a score of 26-16 at Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Kentucky was the ATS victor, as they covered the +6.0-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 53.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Kavosiey Smoke rushed for 80 yards, while La'Vell Wright added 27 yards in the win. Dane Key and Chauncey Magwood added 83 and 47 receiving yards respectively.

Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed for 62 yards for Florida, while Trevor Etienne added 46 yards. Anthony Richardson threw for 143 yards for the Gators, while receivers Xzavier Henderson and Ricky Pearsall had 50 and 39 yards respectively.

Kentucky lost the offensive yardage battle to Florida 279-272 yards in Saturday's game. Kentucky had more first downs as that total ended up 17-12.

Kentucky led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:24-26:36 split in that important category.

Kentucky heads into a 3 battle against Youngstown State. Florida, meanwhile, will have their next action against USF.
