Buckeyes vs Utes Final: 48-45 - Recap
C.J. Stroud's 573-yard performance through the air was the key in Ohio State's 48-45 win over Utah on Saturday at Rose Bowl.
The Buckeyes earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -4.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 64.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
C.J. Stroud completed 37 of 46 pass attempts for 573 yards for the Buckeyes in the win.
Cameron Rising rushed for 92 yards for Utah, while Tavion Thomas added 67 yards. Cameron Rising threw for 214 yards for the Utes, while receivers Brant Kuithe and Dalton Kincaid had 77 and 45 yards respectively.
Utah lost the offensive yardage battle to Ohio State 683-463 yards in Saturday's game. Ohio State had more first downs as that total ended up 28-25.
The time of possession battle favored Utah as their offense was on the field for 34:17, longer than the 25:43 of their opponents.
