Arkansas State Falls 28-20 to Panthers - Recap
Georgia State got a 125-yard performance from Jamyest Williams as a key part of its 28-20 victory over the Red Wolves on Saturday at Center Parc Stadium.
Georgia State did not, however, defeat the Red Wolves against the spread, which closed at -15.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 65.5.
Jamyest Williams rushed for 125 yards, while Tucker Gregg added 98 yards in the win. Jamari Thrash and Sam Pinckney added 103 and 41 receiving yards respectively.
Lincoln Pare rushed for 33 yards for Arkansas State, while Alan Lamar added 13 yards. Layne Hatcher threw for 273 yards for the Red Wolves, while receivers Lincoln Pare and Te'Vailance Hunt had 118 and 42 yards respectively.
Georgia State outgained Arkansas State 434-270 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-16 by the Panthers.
Arkansas State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:52-29:08 split in that important category.
