Penn State Defeats Maryland 31-14 - Recap

Sean Clifford led the way with 363 passing yards on Saturday as the Nittany Lions picked up a 31-14 victory over the Terrapins at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.

Sean Clifford completed 27 of 47 pass attempts for 363 yards for the Nittany Lions in the win.

Challen Faamatau rushed for 38 yards for Maryland, while Tayon Fleet-Davis added 37 yards. Taulia Tagovailoa threw for 371 yards for the Terrapins, while receivers Chigoziem Okonkwo and Rakim Jarrett had 85 and 70 yards respectively.

Penn State outgained Maryland 456-419 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 29-23 by the Terrapins.

Maryland lost the time of possession battle 31:33-28:27, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Penn State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Michigan. Maryland will aim to get back on the winning track at Michigan State.
