Recap - 49ers Defeat Rice 31-24
The 49ers grabbed a Week 10 victory over the Owls on Saturday, winning 31-24 at Jerry Richardson Stadium.
The 49ers were a -6.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 51.5.
Shadrick Byrd rushed for 54 yards, while Calvin Camp added 22 yards in the win. Elijah Spencer and Grant DuBose added 77 and 59 receiving yards respectively.
Ari Broussard rushed for 186 yards for Rice, while Jordan Myers added 18 yards. Jake Constantine threw for 253 yards for the Owls, while receivers Jake Bailey and Cedric Patterson III had 143 and 45 yards respectively.
Charlotte was outgained by Rice 468-349 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-20 by the Owls.
Rice led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:16-22:44 split in that important category.
Next game, Charlotte takes its act on the road to face LA Tech looking for another win. For Rice, they head home to face WKU.
