Bowling Green Falcons vs NIU Huskies Recap - Huskies Win 34-26
Bowling Green was unable to contain Jay Ducker on Saturday and the result was a 34-26 Week 7 loss against the Huskies.
NIU did not, however, defeat the Falcons against the spread, which closed at -9.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 44.5.
Jay Ducker rushed for 210 yards, while Mason Blakemore added 44 yards in the win. Trayvon Rudolph and Tyrice Richie added 20 and 12 receiving yards respectively.
Matt McDonald rushed for 75 yards for Bowling Green, while Taron Keith added 39 yards. Matt McDonald threw for 235 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Jhaylin Embry and Austin Osborne had 64 and 63 yards respectively.
NIU lost the offensive yardage battle to Bowling Green 396-357 yards in Saturday's game. NIU had more first downs as that total ended up 23-17.
NIU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:41-25:19 split in that important category.
Next game, NIU takes its act on the road to face Central Michigan looking for another win. For Bowling Green, they head home to face Eastern Michigan.
