Bowling Green Falcons vs Kent State Golden Flashes Recap - Golden Flashes Win 27-20

Marquez Cooper tore up the turf for 120 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Golden Flashes to a 27-20 win over the Falcons at Dix Stadium.

The Golden Flashes earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -17.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 56.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Marquez Cooper rushed for 120 yards, while Dustin Crum added 93 yards in the win. Dante Cephas and Ja'Shaun Poke added 64 and 25 receiving yards respectively.

Jaison Patterson rushed for 60 yards for Bowling Green, while Nick Mosley added 15 yards. Matt McDonald threw for 263 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Tyrone Broden and Christian Sims had 75 and 55 yards respectively.

Bowling Green lost the offensive yardage battle to Kent State 396-318 yards in Saturday's game. Kent State had more first downs as that total ended up 25-18.

The time of possession battle favored Bowling Green as their offense was on the field for 32:15, longer than the 27:45 of their opponents.

Kent State heads into a Week 6 battle against Buffalo. Bowling Green, meanwhile, will have their next action against Akron.
