Recap - Cardinal Defeat Vanderbilt 41-23

The Cardinal were Week 3 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Commodores by a score of 41-23 at Vanderbilt Stadium.

Stanford was the ATS victor, as they covered the -12.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 49.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Austin Jones rushed for 80 yards, while Nathaniel Peat added 51 yards in the win. Brycen Tremayne and Benjamin Yurosek added 54 and 47 receiving yards respectively.

Rocko Griffin rushed for 107 yards for Vanderbilt, while Re'Mahn Davis added 76 yards. Mike Wright threw for 31 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Chris Pierce Jr. and Will Sheppard had 52 and 43 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Stanford 422-398 yards in Saturday's game. Vanderbilt had more first downs as that total ended up 23-20.

Vanderbilt led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:22-28:38 split in that important category.

Next game, Stanford takes its act home to face UCLA looking for another win. For Vanderbilt, they head home to face Georgia.
