Bobcats Fall 38-17 Against Appalachian State - Game Recap

Texas State was unable to contain Daetrich Harrington on Saturday and the result was a 38-17 Week 10 loss against the Mountaineers.

Appalachian State did not, however, defeat the Bobcats against the spread, which closed at -21.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 59.0.

Daetrich Harrington rushed for 113 yards, while Camerun Peoples added 67 yards in the win. Miller Gibbs and Thomas Hennigan added 47 and 32 receiving yards respectively.

Jahmyl Jeter rushed for 135 yards for Texas State, while Tyler Vitt added 38 yards. Tyler Vitt threw for 205 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Javen Banks and Marcell Barbee had 89 and 65 yards respectively.

Texas State lost the offensive yardage battle to Appalachian State 426-420 yards in Saturday's game. Appalachian State had more first downs as that total ended up 22-21.

The time of possession battle favored Appalachian State as their offense was on the field for 32:15, longer than the 27:45 of their opponents.

Next game, Appalachian State takes its act home to face Georgia State looking for another win. For Texas State, they head on the road to face Georgia Southern.
