SMU Mustangs vs Texas State Bobcats Wrap - SMU Wins 31-24
Shane Buechele sliced and diced the Bobcats defense for 367 yards as SMU handed Texas State a 31-24 defeat on Saturday at Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium.

Calvin Hill rushed for 100 yards for Texas State, while Brock Sturges added 95 yards. Brady McBride threw for 227 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Trevis Graham Jr. and Chandler Speights had 59 and 52 yards respectively.
SMU outgained Texas State 544-416 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-22 by the Mustangs.
Texas State lost the time of possession battle 31:57-27:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
