Michigan State Spartans vs Iowa Hawkeyes Wrap - Iowa Wins 49-7
The Spartans had no answer for Tyler Goodson on Saturday as the Hawkeyes rolled to a 49-7 win at Kinnick Stadium.
The Hawkeyes were a -5.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 46.0.
Tyler Goodson rushed for 113 yards, while Charlie Jones added 38 yards in the win. Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Brandon Smith added 38 and 35 receiving yards respectively.
Jordon Simmons rushed for 34 yards for Michigan State, while Brandon Wright added 15 yards. Rocky Lombardi threw for 227 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Jalen Nailor and Trenton Gillison had 119 and 26 yards respectively.
Iowa outgained Michigan State 405-286 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-10 by the Hawkeyes.
Michigan State lost the time of possession battle 32:05-27:55, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
