Saskatchewan Falls 31-13 to Argonauts - Recap
The Argonauts were Week 8 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Roughriders by a score of 31-13 at Huskies Stadium.
Toronto won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -10.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 48.0.
Andrew Harris rushed for 41 yards, while A.J. Ouellette added 34 yards in the win. Cam Phillips and DaVaris Daniels added 38 and 34 receiving yards respectively.
Jamal Morrow rushed for 41 yards for Saskatchewan, while Frankie Hickson added 8 yards. Jake Dolegala threw for 100 yards for the Roughriders, while receivers Shawn Bane Jr. and Tevin Jones had 144 and 133 yards respectively.
Toronto lost the offensive yardage battle to Saskatchewan 456-212 yards in Saturday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 22-13.
Toronto lost the time of possession battle 32:24-27:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Toronto heads into a Week 9 battle against the Stampeders. Saskatchewan, meanwhile, will have their next action against Ottawa.
