Roughriders Fall 26-24 Against Edmonton - Game Recap

Kevin Brown scampered through the Saskatchewan defense for 109 yards as Edmonton handed the Roughriders a 26-24 defeat on Friday at Mosaic Stadium.

Edmonton won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +8.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.5.

Kevin Brown rushed for 109 yards, while Taylor Cornelius added 93 yards in the win. Derel Walker and Dillon Mitchell added 109 and 87 receiving yards respectively.

Cody Fajardo rushed for 47 yards for Saskatchewan, while Frankie Hickson added 14 yards. Cody Fajardo threw for 230 yards for the Roughriders, while receivers Shaq Evans and Justin McInnis had 54 and 48 yards respectively.

Saskatchewan lost the offensive yardage battle to Edmonton 439-311 yards in Friday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 17-16.

The time of possession battle favored Saskatchewan as their offense was on the field for 32:24, longer than the 27:36 of their opponents.

Next game, Edmonton takes its act home to face Montreal looking for another win. For Saskatchewan, they head on the road to face Winnipeg.
