USC Upstate blew out Paine on Monday, running up the score in a 79-59 win at G.B. Hodge Center.
Deion Holmes had 24 points for USC Upstate and Mike Cunningham chipped in with 17 points. Malik Moore had 3 assists for them, while Malik Moore was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.
Paine got a 17-point performance from Babe Murphy, who was supported by 15 points from Phillip Garner. Johnnie Robinson had 5 assists in a losing cause for Paine, while Deshawndric Nelms grabbed 10 rebounds.
