Gulf Coast Showcase - Buffalo Falls 89-64 Against Iona - Game Recap
The battle between Iona and Buffalo didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Buffalo was handed a 89-64 defeat on Wednesday at Hertz Arena.
Iona was a favorite by -6.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors.
Iona got 20 points from Wheza Panzo and another 14 points from Greg Gordon. Joel Brown contributed 7 assists, while Sultan Adewale cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.
Buffalo got a 14-point performance from Sy Chatman, who was supported by 12 points from Jonnivius Smith. Ryan Sabol had 3 assists in a losing cause for Buffalo, while Jonnivius Smith grabbed 10 rebounds.
Iona led at halftime, 47-25.
Buffalo had a 31-20 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Iona takes its act on the road to face Colorado looking for another win. For Buffalo, they head on the road to face James Madison.
