Belmont Defeats UIC 74-65 - Recap
Keishawn Davidson scored 17 points leading Belmont to a 74-65 victory over UIC at Curb Event Center on Saturday.
Belmont won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -5.5-point spread as favorites.
Belmont got 14 points from Jayce Willingham and another 13 points from Cade Tyson. Keishawn Davidson contributed 5 assists, while Cade Tyson cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
UIC got 16 points from CJ Jones in a losing cause and another 12 points from Jaden Brownell. CJ Jones contributed 8 assists for them, while Toby Okani had 7 rebounds.
Belmont trailed at halftime, 25-23.
UIC had a 34-33 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Belmont takes its act home to face Indiana State looking for another win. For UIC, they head on the road to face Evansville.
