Cornell Falls 79-77 to Princeton - Recap
Princeton earned a 79-77 victory over Cornell on Saturday, getting 23 points from Caden Pierce at L. Stockwell Jadwin Gymnasium.
Princeton did not, however, defeat Cornell against the spread, which closed at -5.5 at most sportsbooks.
Matt Allocco had 19 points for Princeton and Xaivian Lee chipped in with 16 points. Caden Pierce had 4 assists for them, while Xaivian Lee was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Cornell got 23 points from Nazir Williams in a losing cause and another 17 points from Chris Manon. Nazir Williams contributed 5 assists for them, while Chris Manon had 6 rebounds.
Princeton was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Princeton looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Pennsylvania. Cornell will aim to get back on the winning track at Columbia.
