Towson Tigers vs Hofstra Pride Recap - Hofstra Wins 59-56
Hofstra got 23 points from Tyler Thomas en route to a 59-56 victory over Towson on Saturday at Mack Sports Complex.
Hofstra did not, however, defeat Towson against the spread, which closed at -3.5 at most sportsbooks.
Hofstra got 14 points from Darlinstone Dubar and another 8 points from Jaquan Carlos. Tyler Thomas contributed 9 assists, while Jaquan Carlos cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Towson got 12 points from Nendah Tarke in a losing cause and another 10 points from Tomiwa Sulaiman. Dylan Williamson contributed 4 assists for them, while Tomiwa Sulaiman had 8 rebounds.
Hofstra was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Towson won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-27.
Next game, Hofstra takes its act on the road to face Hampton looking for another win. For Towson, they head home to face Delaware.
