Recap - Marquette Defeats DePaul 86-73
Marquette grabbed a 86-73 win over DePaul on Wednesday, behind a 22-point effort from Tyler Kolek at Wintrust Arena.
Marquette won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -18.5-point spread.
Marquette got 21 points from David Joplin and another 19 points from Oso Ighodaro. Tyler Kolek contributed 7 assists, while Oso Ighodaro cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
DePaul got a 22-point performance from Jalen Terry, who was supported by 19 points from Jeremiah Oden. Da'Sean Nelson had 5 assists in a losing cause for DePaul, while Jalen Terry grabbed 6 rebounds.
Marquette was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Marquette won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-24.
Marquette looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Seton Hall. DePaul will aim to get back on the winning track at Creighton.
