Quinnipiac Defeats Holy Cross 77-57 - Recap
The battle between Quinnipiac and Holy Cross didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Holy Cross was handed a 77-57 defeat on Monday at Hart Recreation Center.
Quinnipiac got 23 points from Matt Balanc and another 13 points from Paul Otieno. Savion Lewis contributed 9 assists, while Amarri Tice cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Holy Cross got a 13-point performance from Joe Octave, who was supported by 12 points from Kahlil Singleton. Joe Nugent had 4 assists in a losing cause for Holy Cross, while Joe Nugent grabbed 7 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Quinnipiac were victorious, as the score was 35-27 at the break.
Quinnipiac had a 41-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Quinnipiac heads into a battle against Lafayette. Holy Cross, meanwhile, will have their next action against Harvard.
