Towson Defeats Coppin State 70-49 - Recap
Towson cruised to victory on Thursday, running Coppin State out of the gym and running up a 70-49 score at Physical Education Complex.
Towson got 17 points from Tyler Tejada and another 11 points from Messiah Jones. Dylan Williamson contributed 4 assists, while Charles Thompson cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Coppin State got a 12-point performance from Zahree Harrison, who was supported by 12 points from Justin Winston. Zahree Harrison had 2 assists in a losing cause for Coppin State, while Zahree Harrison grabbed 5 rebounds.
Towson led at halftime, 35-25.
Towson had a 47-17 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Towson looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Robert Morris. Coppin State will aim to get back on the winning track at Mount St. Mary's.
