Niagara Purple Eagles vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish Wrap - Notre Dame Wins 70-63
Notre Dame got 29 points from Markus Burton en route to a 70-63 victory over Niagara on Monday at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
Notre Dame did not, however, defeat Niagara against the spread, which closed at -10.0 at most sportsbooks.
Notre Dame got 10 points from Carey Booth and another 9 points from Julian Roper II. Markus Burton contributed 4 assists, while Carey Booth cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Niagara got 14 points from Luke Bumbalough in a losing cause and another 14 points from Ahmad Henderson II. Yaw Obeng-Mensah contributed 4 assists for them, while Yaw Obeng-Mensah had 8 rebounds.
Notre Dame had a 33-27 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Notre Dame takes its act home to face Western Carolina looking for another win. For Niagara, they head home to face Bucknell.
