Coastal Carolina Falls 88-59 to Appalachian State - Recap

Appalachian State cruised to victory on Saturday, running Coastal Carolina out of the gym and running up a 88-59 score at Holmes Convocation Center.

Appalachian State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -15.0-point spread as favorites.

Tre'Von Spillers had 18 points for Appalachian State and Donovan Gregory chipped in with 13 points. Donovan Gregory had 6 assists for them, while Tre'Von Spillers was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.

Coastal Carolina got 18 points from Ginika Ojiako in a losing cause and another 18 points from Jacob Meyer. Kevin Easley contributed 3 assists for them, while Ginika Ojiako had 16 rebounds.

Appalachian State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Appalachian State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-32.

Appalachian State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Georgia Southern. Coastal Carolina will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Southern Mississippi.
