Hawaii Downs Cal Poly 80-51 - Match Report

Cal Poly was run off the court by Hawaii on Thursday as they blasted them 80-51 at Robert A. Mott Athletics Center.

Hawaii won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -8.5-point spread as favorites.

Juan Munoz had 20 points for Hawaii and Justin McKoy chipped in with 18 points. Kody Williams had 3 assists for them, while Tom Beattie was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.

Cal Poly got a 11-point performance from Quentin Jones, who was supported by 10 points from Tuukka Jaakkola. Tuukka Jaakkola had 2 assists in a losing cause for Cal Poly, while Quentin Jones grabbed 10 rebounds.

Hawaii was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Hawaii won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-32.

Hawaii looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UC-Santa Barbara. Cal Poly will aim to get back on the winning track at Cal State-Fullerton.
