MAAC Tournament - Recap - Iona Defeats Marist 76-55
The battle between Iona and Marist didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Marist was handed a 76-55 defeat on Saturday at Boardwalk Hall.
Iona was the ATS victor, as they covered the -14.5-point spread as a favorite.
Daniss Jenkins had 27 points for Iona and Walter Clayton Jr. chipped in with 17 points. Walter Clayton Jr. had 4 assists for them, while Nelly Junior Joseph was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Marist got a 23-point performance from Patrick Gardner, who was supported by 12 points from Kam Farris. Jaden Daughtry had 2 assists in a losing cause for Marist, while Patrick Gardner grabbed 7 rebounds.
