UAB cruised to victory on Thursday, running Rice out of the gym and running up a 87-60 score at Ford Center at The Star.
UAB was the ATS victor, as they covered the -14.0-point spread as a favorite.
UAB got 27 points from Jordan Walker and another 16 points from KJ Buffen. Eric Gaines contributed 6 assists, while Trey Jemison cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Rice got a 20-point performance from Travis Evee, who was supported by 14 points from Max Fiedler. Quincy Olivari had 5 assists in a losing cause for Rice, while Cameron Sheffield grabbed 6 rebounds.
UAB was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UAB won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-23.
