U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam - Belmont Downs Howard 96-73 - Match Report
Howard was run off the court by Belmont on Monday as they blasted them 96-73 at Virgin Islands Sport & Fitness Center.
Belmont won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.5-point spread as favorites.
Ben Sheppard had 27 points for Belmont and Drew Friberg chipped in with 14 points. Ja'Kobi Gillespie had 8 assists for them, while Derek Sabin was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.
Howard got 15 points from Elijah Hawkins in a losing cause and another 15 points from Marcus Dockery. Elijah Hawkins contributed 5 assists for them, while Jelani Williams had 6 rebounds.
Belmont was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Belmont had a 33-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
